4 Ways Voice Technology Helped Hitachi Power Tools

How switching from paper to talking helped this warehouse increase efficiency by 40%

Hands-free and eyes-free makes all the difference at the Hitachi Power Tools distribution center, outside of Oslo, Norway.

Honeywell, with our software partner Apport, implemented our Vocollect voice-directed technology and the shift from paper to voice flipped a switch in efficiency that ended paperwork and allowed sorting to happen automatically. That means faster work and fewer mistakes.

“This has been a success from day one,” said Sondre Ressem, logistics director for Hitachi Tools. “We are using the voice technology to pick and we are also using it when we have an inventory counting and in our shuffles.”
